第五泉：卧牛泉

卧牛泉――田园牧歌依稀见

　　“谁家鹅鸭横波去，日暮牛羊饮道边。”宋代大文豪苏辙描绘出一幅田园牧歌般的优美画面。但现在的卧牛泉边，只能依稀找到这种感觉了。

　　据有关史书诗文描写，当时此泉周围泉水丰盈，水草茂盛，时常有牛羊饮其水、卧其旁，卧牛泉也因此而得名。明代有诗云：“昔闻陶墓有牛眠，今见齐州溢井泉。千载历山遗胜迹，秋风禾黍满虞田。”从诗中，我们可以想象昔日这里清泉潺潺、绿草茵茵、牧笛悠悠、炊烟袅袅，一片田园牧歌般的诗情画意。

　　关于卧牛泉名的来历，还有一传说是为纪念大舜曾耕种于历山脚下。卧牛泉现为石砌方型泉池，泉面水平如镜，倒映蓝天绿柳，依稀见到昔日日暮牛羊饮泉边的田园牧歌境界。卧牛泉曾列为金、明两代七十二名泉。

Woniu Spring

　　It is located in Baotu Spring Park and was regarded as one of the 72 famous springs in the Jin,Ming and Qing Dynasties,“Woniu”means“Lying cattle.”Maybe , there used to be herds of cattle and flocks of sheep lying beside the pond.
